The beginnings of spring fashion 2013

Well, its officially spring. I get to come out of my winter hibernation cave, tuck away the heavy trench coats
and look forward to the bright pastels & floral prints this season brings.
...or so I thought till I actually shopped around....

This week H&M unveiled their "Conscious Collection". Bellow are my faves.

All in all, with the commercial and choice in model (Vanessa Paradis : a french singer/ actress. With an unapologetic fierce front teeth gap.) it is a strong and versatile collection.

I love their take on spring this year: A sort of french Alice in wonderland only instead of the original disney wonderland its more of a springtime rainforest/Jungle. Tones of green are sprinkled throughout the collection.

There are some solid quintessential spring colors but, not as pastel as you would think.
The silhouettes are definitely a more casual everyday style which, I could see myself wearing thru the season and into summer. They managed to also mix in some more fashion forward silhouettes and patterns like the green track pants and sort of military style jacket.

The print is a a clever rainforest/Jungle spring floral which is intriguing considering everyone else in fashion tends to lean more towards straight forward floral this season.
Leave it to H&M to stray away from the norms of the season and still pull off a great cohesive collection. :)


I would recommend the maxi and ruffle tops as a spring staple. Whatever you choose you cant go wrong for only $20.00!! or less!!

I ALSO recommend you all head over and pick up your faves asap!

who doesnt love furs this time of year?

Track pants are coming back.

Ive been away for  far too long taking care of business but im back and ready to fill you in on whats hot in fashion today.

As I was combing the web for the latest and greatest trends this morning, I came accross a WWD article about these high end graphic track pants.

Aside from the great heals worn in this picture and the classic "Sex in the city" pose, these stripped pants are just too cool. Alone they could honestly look like pajama bottoms but when paired with these tops seen here and a great pair of accessories and stilettos they could be quite chic.

Below are some of the usual stores everyone is familiar with. Ive picked out some of my favorite striped pants and jeans that could have you looking like the picture above for less. We will all have to wait and see what department store will carry stripped track pants. Meanwhile you can rock regular striped skinny jeans and know your on point with the trend for now. ;-D
